Those of you with kids know all too well the clutter that can come from kid toys. They get scattered all over the house making it virtually impossible to get anything clean. You step on and trip over them if left out.
I am extremely thankful for all the wonderful Christmas presents given to my daughter. She was in need of new toys to suit her growing mind and body. But, I was also preparing for the inevitable clutter to come. So, Christmas Eve while my hubby was assembling various presents for Caitlin, I was going through her old toys and filtering out the ones she doesn't play with anymore because she has outgrown them. It was the perfect time to do it. She doesn't even notice the difference because her toy box is still full; and with age appropriate fun.
I couldn't go through them all that night, only the ones downstairs. I still have to sort through the ones in her bedroom, but I am putting together a box of toys to put in storage and also a bag for donation. Having this done makes me feel better. I want Caitlin to have plenty of things to do to occupy her, but I also want to keep the house as tidy as possible considering we have toddler.
How do you handle all the extra clutter from the new toys?
