Tammi, the owner of Country Rich Creations has an amazing start up story. Here is what she shared with me through our email conversations.

I was frustrated that I couldn't get a citronella candle for my pool lanterns the size I wanted at a reasonable price. So that made me decide to make my own.  That was last summer... lol. It took me six months to get a recipe that works well. I didn't just want something that was going to work. I wanted it to be an awesome candle. I have learned more about wax, wicks, scents and making molds in the last year, than I have learned in my 20 year career. I thought it was going to be so easy, add wax, wick and scent. I have the perfect candle. I failed many, many times.  But now, I have it down to exactly what I wanted and I can offer people a highly scented candle for a reasonable price.

I always wanted a bakery, now I have the best of both worlds.  I never thought I would have a company.  I do, Country Rich Creations, is my baby.  In April, a friend asked me how much I would charge them to make them a pillar set.  I did it for cost.  I was having fun.  Then 3 or 4 more people wanted my candles, and I haven't looked back.
