I used painter's tape to mark off the chevron stripes.
Then my 3 year old daughter asked me what I was doing. "I'm getting ready to paint this apron." Of course she wants to help me. So I let her. I'm still not sure if that was a brilliant idea or a purely stupid one.
She did fairly good. There were of course some painting outside the lines, but really, who cares.
Ok, so I actually like that Caitlin loves to paint and help me with my craft projects. But it also means that the things she helps me with just aren't going to turn out perfectly the way I had planned in my mind. We did an ok job painting. I decided not to add the ruffles. Maybe I'll save that for an apron from scratch.
