Patriotic Ribbon Porch Decor

Patriotic Ribbon Porch Decor

Still need a few decorations for your 4th of July celebration? Or having a World Cup watch party this weekend? Whether you're preparing for July 4th or cheering on the U.S.A. in the World Cup, this simple ribbon decor waves with tons of Patriotic flair. You only need a few materials to make your own in 15 minutes.

A couple of rolls of ribbon; red, white, and blue, an embroidery hoop, either some string or fishing wire and a place to hang it are all you need.

Cut your ribbons in varying lengths from 14 to 18 inches.

Separate the two parts of the embroidery hoop. Position one of the ribbon strips on the interior side of the outer hoop going up and over. Hot glue the ribbons in place.

Next tie three lengths of thread or fishing wire on to the interior hoop. Fit the two pieces of the embroidery hoop back together and tighten.

Pull up the three strings/fishing wire. Tie together.

Grosgrain ribbon has a tendency to fray, so take a lighter and gently melt the ends to prevent fraying.

Hang it up and let your colors show!

That's it. Easy. Simple. Quick.

If you need some other Red, White, & Blue Inspiration, here's some of my past patriotic posts.
