We’re back again with another #MakeIt project. This month is all about getting ready for Thanksgiving with “Turkey” themed projects. I wanted to add something fun for the kids to do while waiting on the Thanksgiving Day feast; silly photos with some themed photo props.
At the bottom of the post you can download your own copy of these Turkey Day Photo Props.
We did a little pre-Thanksgiving photo shoot to try them out and see if the kids had fun. A few weeks later and my girls are still asking to play with them. They are like a permanent counter decoration because I’m not allowed to put them away.
My little turkey. How I love her!
We were photographing on a day when my sister was visiting, so I asked her if I could take some pics with my nephews too. Scotty wasn’t too sure about it. But I did get this one of him holding the Indian headband and biting the turkey leg; actually biting it – so cute!
Logan however is older and used to being photographed a bit more. His mom is a shutter bug too. Love that smile of his.
And where would we be without silly willy Caitlin?
Our Thankful Crew. Scotty is holding the sign that says “Thankful” but it’s turned around backwards. That was probably their least favorite sign – go figure.
I love the turkey’s shocked face looking at the pilgrim eating some turkey!
To make your own, download the files and print them out. My home printer is awful, so I sent them off to Staples and had them printed on card stock. Cut them out and tape a dowel rod or wooden skewer onto the back. (If you use a skewer, make sure the pointed end is on the prop and taped securely.) These photo props are free for personal use.
