I’m a snacker. A grazer. I eat all day long. Some people will say that’s a good thing; others will say it’s not. Whatever it is – I’m just that way. If I don’t eat something between meals I get really crabby. So when I hit the grocery store finding snack options are critical. Yogurt is a great, quick go-to snack for me and the rest of my family too. Last week I added some strawberries and Liberté® Méditerranée Caramel Yogurt to my cart ready to make a #YogurtPerfection snack.
Liberté® yogurt comes in 9 different flavors including the new Caramel and Cappuccino. I love that the Liberté® brand is made from whole milk yogurt with live, active cultures and refrains from adding gelatin, sugar substitutes or preservatives.
You can grab the two new flavors now at Publix.
I’m not a big fan of coffee (gasp) so I reached for the caramel option. And since I’m trying to include more fruit in my daily diet, I wanted to add a fruit for an extra pop of flavor. I’ve been eating a ton of apples lately and wanted something different. What else would go really well with caramel…. hmm. STRAWBERRIES!
After I got home, I crumbled up some gram crackers and tossed them in the bottom of my cup; added a drizzle of caramel sauce; then began layering my strawberries and caramel yogurt. When you open the package of yogurt, make sure you mix up the flavoring! All the caramel sauce is at the bottom of the cup, so mix it up really well before putting it in your parfait or else you’ll have all the caramel in one spot and all the yogurt in another.
I topped it all off with another drizzle of caramel sauce, a whole strawberry, and a piece of gram cracker.
This snack is a perfect combination of flavors. Oh my was it good!! It was the perfect treat for my sweet tooth too!
The great thing about these parfaits is that you can really make them your own. Whatever you’re craving and you think is a great flavor combo, you can use. Nuts, granola, oats, and fruit all make for great add-ins to your yogurt.
